Seven Hardwoods Per Acre Act: Residential Environment Clear-Cut Control Act

Each owner of a residential-use property shall retain, or cause to be planted, and maintained, seven (7) hardwood trees per acre and within one year of enactment of this Act. These may be clustered on the property, so long as the total number of hardwoods are retained or planted and maintained as a whole; or individually situated as the property owner may elect. That is, the owner may choose to leave an acre free of trees, so long as the seven trees attributed to that acre are planted elsewhere on the property. This Act shall be retroactive.
